Queue-era facts that keep showing up in dockets

The facts that repeat are process facts: a published MW screen, a batch study, a request total that is not a peak, a document ID that does not change when the headline does. Charts below use mid-2026 ERCOT public paper only.

Batch and study regimes

ERCOT’s June 18, 2026 Trending Topics PDF is the public contrast: more than 438,000 MW of proposed large-load connection requests, about 89–90% data centers, against an 85,508 MW all-time peak (August 10, 2023). Public TAC summaries of July 28, 2026 panel materials report Batch Zero preliminary eligibility near 205 GW. A request is not an energized campus.

PJM large-load / IRAS and SPP HILL are the same idea on other footprints. FERC 205/206 packages matter when they name large load. How to read a row: How to read an interconnection-queue row.

Why the document ID is the fact

Source + document ID + event class is how you know whether tomorrow is new. Build the string: event identity builder.

Categories that tend to move first (next 12–24 months)

Not a forecast of any campus. The kinds of filings with open process paper: large-load tariff 205s and ISO batch-rule packages; county overlay rewrites; class changes on existing queue IDs; 8-Ks that state MW. National TWh bands live on the public arc of U.S. data-center power.
